The Scientific Method and Goldfish!

Have you ever won a goldfish at a carnival?  Have you ever grown attached to it as it grows in size?  Have you ever wondered about how it stays alive (even though most have very short lives)?  We will be examining an important function of the survival of the goldfish this week, respiration.  In doing so we will examine how the scientific method is used to solve problems and answer questions about our world.

Homework: HW #1 is available on Moodle (see link under "Important Links).  HW #1 is due on Wednesday (9/7).  For credit, HW #1 must be signed by a parent.  Please print the assignment from Moodle, complete, get parent/guardian signature, and bring to class on Wednesday, Sep. 7th.

Quizzes/Tests:  Unit 1: Quiz #1 FRIDAY, SEP. 2nd.
